Bionic Woman

That night. the tv was on, we were watching "The Bionic Woman". I was so engaged that when I made a comment during a commercial and nobody replied I was confused. I turned around and nobody was there. My sister had left the room without any word. The air was heavy. My heart beat a little faster.

I got up to find her, took the few steps to my parents room. She was sitting on the bed. My dad came out of the bathroom blowing his nose.

I sat down, she left. Dad sat down. Dad started talking. The room was still. Tears fell onto my lap. Something is wrong, something bad is happening. Things will be different now.

That is all I remember of the night you left.
